Ever since I saw 'the Incredibles', I've been trying to remember the name of the original Elasti-Girl from DC's Doom Patrol comics in the 1960s. *Distinct noise of Google being used* Ah, there we go. Her real name was Rita Farr. I knew it was something vaguely reminiscient of Helen Parr (the name of the Incredibles' Elastigirl). Okay, that's one less pebble in my mental shoes. Fortunately, I was able to process the other myriad nods to superhero stories of the past seeded throughout "the Incredibles" without any other memory snags. It's possible I missed some entirely, of course.
