Taking turns is a thing of beauty when it comes to getting up with baby. Even more wonderful and joyous is when the man, even when it isn't "his turn", gets up with the baby. Studies show that even when families take turns, the man typically sleeps through his turn more often than not. Personal experience concurrs, but the man I was with at the time was a bit of a jerk, so who knows.
