My sister has gotten a good-paying job as a nanny for a rich, highly conservative, devoutly Catholic family. (Our family is Catholic, but I wouldn't call any of my generation 'devout'.) Sis has hopes that this will get her going to church regularly again and that this will work out and be a wonderful new chapter in her life. To take this job, she must resign from her old one and move halfway to the bottom of the country (to the urban stomping grounds of our paternal Aunt).
Anyone reading this have any advice on blending in with Those Who Follow Catholic Teachings Without Deviation, and/or Social Conservatives and/or Upper-Crust-Patron-of-the-Arts types? How about Surviving in Virginia and/or D.C.?
Anyway, all of us at the Bamboo Patch of Brotherly Love wish her the best of luck in her new career and new locale.
