In honor of Guy Fawkes Day, theoretically, but actually because the sad&beautiful must be shared

Thanksgiving has no song...but Guy Fawkes Day has a song...which has nothing itself to do with explosions.

This is not output on my part. This is just my reaction to input. The Output Backlog for the Blog contains at least two posts in pre-production: Why I joined the Circus, and a Word from Mal on meteortheology.

Actually, I surf corrected; Thanksgiving does have a song.

It is, perhaps, the only Thanksgiving song, and not clearly labeled as such. It is, ironically enough in context, in fact, Arlo Guthrie's classic pro-turkey, pro-littering, anti-war song, "Alice's Restaurant".

songs generally about gratitude might qualify: "Thank You, India" by Alanis Morrisette and "I Want to Thank You, Whoever You Are" by, um, Whosidinger. or maybe they just did a cover.
